Founded in 2003 by Halit Turgay, the Halit Turgay Flute Summer School has touched the lives of over 400 students of all ages—from young beginners to adult amateurs and professional flutists. For the past four years, our summer courses have been held in the breathtaking town of Assos, Turkey, just a short walk from the historic Athena Temple, offering an inspiring setting surrounded by nature, art, and history.
Our school combines high-quality flute education with a relaxing holiday atmosphere. Carefully selected sea-side accommodations provide the perfect environment for technical growth, new musical horizons, and shared playing experiences. Over 22 years, we have nurtured many successful musicians and created unforgettable memories.
Our lessons focus on flute technique, musical expression, ensemble playing, and stage presence, tailored to help each participant develop both technically and artistically.
The program is led by founder Halit Turgay, with assistant flute teacher and co-organizer Ece Selin Yüksel, ensuring personalized attention and a supportive learning environment.
