Jazz-Ist Quartet

The other members of the band are also very succesfull and most wanted musicians and lecturers in their branch like Halit Turgay, former of the band, who has been training many students as a lecturer in Istanbul University State Conservatoire.

Members are:

Halit Turgay – Flautist
Ayca Kocaturk – Pianist
Sezin Ahmet Turkmenoglu – Bas Guitarist, Contrabassist
Emir Ozoglu – Percussionist

Performing their first concert in October 2009, they succeeded to be the wanted band of the concert halls and festivals thanks to its expert musicians. After their first concert their cosequent concerts in Izmir Art and Istanbul Caddebostan Culture Centers has gathered the admiration of the jazz lovers and critics. In summer 2011 their concert performed at 11th Side International Culture and Art Festival greatly appreciated by the domestic and foreign tourists having their vacations in Side.

Halit Turgay’s first album Turkish Tea Jazz Suite’s recordings have been performed with the Jazz – Ist Quartet as well.
